The Version 1.3.9 of WordPress was released aimed at the Android and its market. The published release includes some new useful features along with important solutions for fixing bugs. One such feature is the support for QuickPress Shortcuts. This support has been contributed by one of the community volunteer developers on the home page of Android.
To use this support, just select the ‘Shortcuts->QuickPress’ on the home screen and then choose the blog that you want to use. One done, you will see an icon on the home screen, which would take you straight to the new post screen where you can start blogging right away.
The second step to this feature is to post and share the URL to other applications. Whatever you have published so far can also be shared through sharing links with other Android apps. To do this, just tap the title of the post and ‘Share URL’. In the second step, select the app with which you want to share the link.
The various bug fixes that were included in this release include the following:
1) While posting a shared content to an existing post use the subject as ‘Extra’
2) Translation updates – Spanish
3) If working from a different time zone other than the set time zone of the WP blog, it will show incorrect comment date
